Central's Facilities: Promoting Learning
Central, established in 1836, has invested a significant amount of effort and time into preserving and upgrading its facilities. Recently, our Alumni Association constructed a multi-million dollar library and research complex.

The New Library:

Further to those efforts, the Alumni Association and Central High School in conjunction with the School District of Philadelphia created a partnership with Apple Computers Education Unit. The team outfitted the library with over seventy new Apple G5 desktop computers, iBook G4 laptops for all faculty, more laptops for students to use in the library, a state of the art wireless network, and brand new enterprise-grade XSERVE server systems to act as the backbone for technology at Central.

The New Gym:

Recently, the School District renovated our gym facilities. A new floor was put down in our gym.

Other Facilities:

In addition to some of our new features, Central also has an orchestra room, digital music studio, graphic design lab, science labs, three computer labs, wrestling gym, football field, track, soccer field, and baseball field in addition to other facilities.
